I think perhaps the Robins packed up and headed back south to warmer climes. They weren'r around yesterday any way. Should have a good crop of weeds this year though because everything in the yard got fertilized really good. Speaking of birds falling out of the sky, I think we should set up an escort service using the ol' bats. They could lead their feathered cousins south in the winter and north in the summer. Using their radar, they should be able to avoid whatever it was that their cousins have been running into. Since they would already be down south when winter hit, they could just hybernate in the caves down in Mexico. Would have to figure out a way to keep Rosie off the Tequila though. She'd be too looped to ever find her way back north to her regular job.
I'M GUESSIN I BETTER COME UP WITH A RIDE FOR THE NEAR FUTURE. PROBABLY HEAD SOUTH JUST IN CASE THOSE OLE BATS HAVE TALKED THOSE ROBINS INTO SETTIN US UP
Our rear deck is covered with guano or at least Robin droppings. Out yard was invaded by thousands of Robins yesterday. At one time, the pond behind the house was completely surrounded with Robins looking for a drink. I have never seen that many Robins before. Kind of an eerie sight. I know they are migrating but I think perhaps they are rushing the season a little.
