Hndg - Must have been one of the ol' bats going to Toronto looking for work. C-O-L-D outside this morning. You ol' bats bundle up before heading to your daytime jobs. If you have a nighttime job too, like Denise, the car should still be warm. Hope she don't forget to make Jack's coffee before she leaves or there will be hell to pay when she gets back home.
Glad we were able to brighten your day. I can see it now, a bunch of ol' bats rootin' around in a foot of snow trying to find a juicy bug. The snow has all but stopped here. I have the driveway plowed out and the snow plow just went by for the first time today. Now if we can live through that cold spell that is coming, we will be back to normal and waiting on spring. I have vague memories of spring. Dandilions blooming, grass growing and old bats circling round the street light.
iT'S 4:20PM HERE AND IT'S ALL FROZED OUTSIDE lightly snowing but oddly enough the sun keeps trying to peak through only to be squashed by that nasty weather the caveboys brought down upon us.

It's just turned over to snow and the temp dropped about 11 degrees in an hour here. Wonder if I will get in my truck tomorrow morning - it will be frozen.
JIM, THOSE OLE BAT GALS HAVE ENOUGH HOT AIR THAT THIS ICE AND SNOW ALL COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED, BUT NO, THEY JUST STAYED IN AND DID NOTHING AT ALL WITH ALL THAT HOT AIR TO HELP OUT
NOW OVER OUR WAY, WE HAVE ONLY HAD RAIN. I'VE HAD MYBARBIE BAT LOCKED OUTSIDE SINCE ABOUT 6:30 THIS MORNIN AND SHE'S SO MAD THAT THE TEMP OUT THERE IS HOLDIN AT ABOUT 33 DEGREES. SOMETIMES A GUY'S GOTTA DO WHAT A GUY'S GOTTA DO
I might suggest that al you ol' bats use this opportunity to check out: www.GetYourWifeASecondJob.com You can spend your snow day finding that perfect second or third job. Just as an afterthought, we used to make some pretty good money when we were just tykes shoveling snow for our neighbors. Didn't take a lot of brain power and should be right up the ol' bats alley. I have a really nice snow shovel I would be willing to loan one of you. You can even ues it to shovel the guano out of your cave before you return it.
Well it's 11:20am here and so far the trees and bushes are iced but its still raining and the roads are just wet. Its still commin tho. Everybody just dig in. Don't forget to fill some jugs for water and get them flashlights ready and what ever else you'll need if the power goes. The lines in front of our house are already collectin ice. I was talking to Fay yesterday and she reminded me about getting water and stuff. I remember 2 years ago when we had no power for 3 days and there were a lot of people who were without a lot longer. So be good little cave scouts you guys and be prepared.
We got close to1/4 inch of ice. Looks like snow on the ground, but it's ice. It is still sleeting really heavy. Guess we'll be on the inside looking ou for a while.
I was packing the truck up this morning - planning on making the trek into work and it went from rain to ice in a matter of minutes. Needless to say I'm homebound - work is not worth my life (regardless what you men think!). Instead of a snow day it's an ice day for me. Hoping the power doesn't go off ... . Stay safe and warm everyone!
It is 4:37am in Ava. It is starting to rain and the temperature is starting to drop. I can see ice in our future. I am sure we will be losing power before the morning is over. Hope everyone is dug in for the next couple of days. Look at the bright side, most of you don't live in Douglas County where the cure for icy roads is spring. Think I'll call in sick.
SURE GLAD BARB AND I TOOK THAT RIDE SATURDAY. COULD BE A WHILE AGAIN BEFORE WE CAN DO ANOTHER ONE. TOMORROW BARB'LL HANG HER SELF BACK UP AND I'LL GET THE FIRE GOIN IN THE OLE CAVE. HARD LIFE TO UNDERSTAND
Well guess the nice weather is over and it is back to the freezer. Hope everyone misses out on the ice and snow they are predicting. Time for the ol' bats to get back in the cave and us caveboys to stoke up the fires.
