RE: EARTH QUAKE OR TORNADO?

Hdg, that kitty does not look scared. He looks amazed probably that you being a dog aren't chasing him.

Jim. us bats are use to it. it would only affect you caveboys.

Can you imagine the affect that 500 years of sniffin' methane must have on the ol' bats. No wonder they are all goofy.

You're right Rosie, it is "methane" gas. I took that directly from the USGS web site. You would think with all the goverments money they could afford a dictionary. Maybe that will be part of the next stimulus package. You know they aren't going to give the schools enough money to buy one or any other books for that matter.

You're a smooth talker -- but I do believe it's methane gas!

There were earthquakes in Arkansas last night. The largest measured 4.7 on the Richter Scale. The USGS stated that the cause of the quakes was still uncertain but it is believed to be the result of a build up of methane gas in the many caves found in both Arkansas and Missouri. Methane gas is often trapped in the caves as a result of the tremendous deposits of quano found there. Orkin Al, of the US Department of Bat Eradication, was quoted as stating that there are a lot more bats than normal in the caves this year as a result of the bad economy and their inability to find gainful employment. Some of the bats have even resorted to moving into the cities where employment is more readily available.
